Annual Local Arts Exhibition
With the aim to provide a forum for artists who
may find few opportunities to display their work,
BAF Open Submission Exhibition has grown from a
local base of talent to attract entries from all
over Ireland, the West being particularly strongly
represented.
The
work is selected on merit, without favouring style
and has, to date, shown a wonderful cross section
of representational, sculptural, textural, abstract
and mixed media works. Entries have been selected
from part time, full time and occasional artists,
giving a unique blend and a certain standard of
excellence.A list of the selected artists will be
available at the exhibition itself. Entrants are
judged for three prizes, with the overal winner
receiving the Sue Hill Memorial Perpetual Trophy,
the Éilís Kilgallen Award is given
to the most promising young artist < 25.
All works must be available for sale.
