8 km from Athlone in the
heart of Ireland on the R362 off the N6, (2
hours from Dublin, 1 to 1½ hours from
Galway and 2½ from Shannon).

Ruth's is ideally located for a variety of activities
or for pure relaxation. Convenient to golf, angling,
horse riding and the historic Clonmacnoise Abbey.
There are many places to see and things to do. You
can walk, fish, golf, cruise, or just laze and potter
among centuries old ruins. Shop in the friendly and
attractive towns and enjoy a visit to traditional
pubs
How to Find Us?
Coming
from Dublin
When you approach Athlone, you will arrive at a Roundabout.
Here, take the sign for Galway - the West, and this
will take you on to the dual carriageway (the Athlone
town by-pass). Stay on the dual-carriageway until
you reach Exit No. R362. It is almost at the very
end of the dual carriageway. When you exit, you arrive
at a T-junction and here you will see a signpost for
St. Ruth's, pointing to the right. Take that right
turn and continue straight all the way out, following
the signs for St. Ruth's and you will reach me in
approx. 10 minutes.
Coming from Galway
When you approach Athlone, you will reach a dual carriageway.
Almost straight away you see an Exit No R362, take
this exit. When you exit, you arrive at a T-junction,
turn left and continue straight all the way out, following
the signs for St. Ruth's and again you will reach
me in approx 10 minutes. At the Y-junction take sign
for Curraghboy (right) and St. Ruth's is 2km from
here.
Coming
from Shannon Airport
You will more than likely arriving in Galway first
so you can use the same directions as above.
