Boyle
Town Library is located in the basement of King House
and originally would have been the kitchens, stores
and servant quarters of the House. The original floor
and barrel vaulted ceiling can still be seen as you
walk into this excellent facility which is more than
just a library as it hosts several events thoughout
the year, including art exhibitions, book readings
etc.

Boyle
Library is one of the best-equipped libraries in the country.
For €3.80 annual membership you can take six books,
cassette tapes, DVD,s or CDs out at any time. They also
have a reference library, including information on local
history and much more.
Full free internet service, as well as daily and weekly
papers and many weekly and monthly publications.
The library service is now on-line and you can search their
catalogue and reserve books as well as renew your books
on-line if you cannot get to the library.
Open
hours on Tuesday and Thursday from 1-8pm and on Wednesday,
Friday and Saturday from 10am-1pm and from 2-5pm. Telephone

comprehensive reference section within the Library houses
many important local documents and books including the annals
of Boyle, the annals of Lough Key, histories of the Earls
of Kingston and the Connaught Rangers, and Estate Records
from the Rockingham Demense.
