Activities
|
The
Carrowkeel Megalithic Passage Tomb Complex (over
4000 years old) can be seen from the hostel and
many more historical sites are nearby. There are
over 5,000 archaeological sites within easy reach
of the Hostel. Amongst the many nearby sites are
Carrowkeel Passage Tombs dating from 3,800 BC
(making them over 1,000 years older than the Pyramids).
These are located on the hills directly across
the lake from the hostel and can be seen from
the dining room. They are reached from Castlebaldwin
(about 10 minutes drive). |
